OUR PROGRAM

Mini-Cassia Transitional Living is a 6-18 month program, Courage to Change, that assists women in living successful, independent lives. The classes, group interaction, structure and accountability requirements are designed to help women find a relationship with God, themselves, and others.

The Need

Why is MCTL crucial in our state and community? Because women need a second chance. When women come through our doors, most have lost all hope of ever having a life worth living. Our programs provide women coming out of incarceration, addiction, homelessness and abuse a safe, loving Christian environment where they can heal and find hope.

Over 90% of women in prison were sexually abused as little girls. Many were physically and mentally abused. Much of the addiction, and addicted related crimes, are a result of the pains of their past. Coming from very dysfunctional backgrounds, they don’t have the tools needed to be successful. They are in great need, not only for a place to live, but to begin a new life they can be proud of.

If change does not take place, the women we serve will continue to be lost, addicted, incarcerated and abused. Change is hard. Someone is needed to come alongside of each of us to encourage and guide us along the way. We provide a safe home where transformation can occur.

Our program is specifically targeted to meet women’s needs and enhance their strengths. Our desire is to stop the cycle of abuse by helping women experience a relationship with God, themselves, and others, helping them to become good mothers, wives, daughters and friends. MCTL gives women the tools to change their lifestyle and become contributing members of the community.

The need far exceeds the capacity of MCTL. Without your help, and without this program, many women would have nowhere to go, except back to their old lives. God is still doing miracles, we see them every day. Please consider how you can help.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT:

Believing each person is created to be a unique and valuable individual, our mission is to present an opportunity for life change by instilling purpose and vision in women whose lives have become unmanageable. MCTL provides a safe environment in which to build healthy relationships with God, self and others through transitional living, life recovery skills, coaching, spiritual growth and education.

GET HELP

If you are sick and tired of being sick and tired, and you want to learn how to change your life please give us a call or fill the resident application.

MCTL is a place where you are able to heal from the pains of your past, learn how to love yourself and others, how to forgive, to re-unite with your family, and live in freedom from the bondage of addictions. It is a place of hope and restoration.

You will have to allow yourself to seek the safety and protection of an environment that will encourage you to transform into the person that you were created to be. We provide the support, accountability, safety and structure that is needed for a successful and purposeful life. Our programs are designed to equip you to live a life that you can be proud of. Those who complete the lifestyle changes will emerge a transformed woman who has the hope of a future of new promise.

The choice is yours. Recovery is always uncomfortable until it isn’t. Growth and change are hard and stretch us every day, but it takes courage and determination to choose life. MCTL will help you to see how much God loves you and that He has a plan for your life. A plan to prosper you and give you hope.

Our Founder - Marcy Bruderer

In 1994 I was introduced to Jesus and asked Him into my heart. This began the journey of breaking the addictions in my life and starting the healing process.

After joining a church’s youth detention and jail ministry in 2005, I knew this was my calling in life. Being there for those going through the darkest time of their lives had a lasting impact on me. Week after week, the most common thing I heard was that they had burned all bridges with family and friends and had nowhere to turn upon being released.

My husband, Dallas, and I felt led to find a place for these women to turn. The Mini-Cassia Transitional Living ministry was born.

Our mission is to transform the lives of women who struggle with addiction. We do this through a Christ-based recovery program.
